Frequently asked questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. The full audit is completely free: there is no cost, no card and no sign-up. You enter a website and an e-mail address, confirm the address, and the report arrives as a PDF.
- Why do I have to confirm my e-mail?
- So that reports only go to people who asked for them. Before anything is sent, we e-mail a confirmation link to the address you entered; the report is sent only after you click it. If you didn't request an audit, ignore that e-mail and nothing else will arrive.
- What do you do with my e-mail address?
- We use it to send the report you requested. See our privacy page for details.
- How long does it take?
- The checks start as soon as you submit and usually finish within a few minutes; larger sites can take longer because pages are fetched politely and within fixed limits. The report is e-mailed once you have confirmed your address and every check has finished.
- Can I see the results on the website?
- Yes. Once you have confirmed your address, the browser where you requested the audit can open your online report, and results appear there as each check finishes. The report e-mail contains the PDF and a personal link to the online report that works in any browser for 90 days. The online report is never indexed by search engines.
